The Greater Johnstown Camera Club is one of the oldest clubs in Johnstown (Pennsylvania) dating back to the late 1930's. The Club's purpose is to promote and encourage the art and craft of photography through education and participation. Membership is composed of men and women from all walks of life; amateur as well as professional.

Meetings are held at the Community Arts Center in Westmont on the first Wednesday of each month (except for January, July, and August) beginning at 7:00 pm. In addition to conducting Club business, each monthly meeting includes a speaker and intra-club print competition. All meetings are open to the public.

Other activities include field trips, seminars/classes, shooting sessions, competitions and displays, annual banquet, summer picnic, and Christmas party.

The only requirements for membership in the GJCC are that you be at least 18 years of age and have an interest in photography (film, digital, or video).

The annual membership fee of $10.00 includes a subscription to Focal Point, our monthly newsletter, as well as membership in our forum, and may be paid at one of the Club meetings.

July 14 - August 9 the members of the GJCC will be exhibiting their work at the Community Arts Center.  Opening reception will be on July 14 from 6:30-8:30 PM.  All are welcome to attend!

September meeting - We will have our next 2008-2009 meeting on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the Community Arts Center.
